'The Vampire Diaries' Season 4 Spoilers: What's Happening to Elena?

The Vampire Diaries season 4 has quite the November planned as Elena continues to adjust to being a vampire. The CW has announced their November sweeps schedule, and part of it includes spoilers for episode 6, "We All Go A Little Mad Sometimes."

Vampire Diaries Season 4 Episode 6 "We All Go A Little Mad Sometimes" Spoilers

"Terrifying hallucinations leave Elena (Nina Dobrev) shaken and confused, causing her to make a dangerous mistake."

Is Elena going to end up taking a life in this episode? Could she end up putting someone in danger? Either seems like a very likely scenario, given this episode description. But what's causing the hallucinations? Will it have something to do with her doppelgänger side and her new vampire side? What is she going to be seeing? This sounds like it could lead to some serious trouble in Mystic Falls, especially if Connor is still around and on the hunt.

Will everyone survive this Vampire Diaries season 4 episode? With Elena confused, she could do anything—and that could leave anyone in danger. Stefan has been worried that if Elena hurts someone, she could turn off her humanity. Will she come close to that in "We All Go A Little Mad Sometimes"? Is someone having some fun and doing something to her? There are many questions about this scenario, but one of the main ones has to be: Will everyone still be alive by the end of this episode? With this episode part of November sweeps, you know it's going to be a big one—and that means someone may not make it out of this alive.

Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev in Hot Pursuit of 3 Million Followers

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are both nearing 3 million followers on their respective Twitter accounts. "The Vampire Diaries" stars have almost always been close in numbers, but Nina is pulling ahead slightly and she's already asking her followers to help her reach the 3 million mark.

"3 is my moms (@paintaworld) favorite number! I've got 2.8M followers, Help me get to the 3 million mark (sic)," Nina tweeted on October 21. With Ian not far behind her at 2.7 million, the two could find themselves hitting 3 million around the same time and likely before the end of the year. Tons of Nina's fans retweeted her message, and she's already nearing the 2.9 million mark.

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev both reached 2 million Twitter followers around the same time. It seems as though they are both equally popular and the number of followers that they have on Twitter proves that in many ways. At this rate, it does seem like Nina is going to hit 3 million before Ian, but you never know.

Taylor Swift's 'Red' setting record sales pace

Taylor Swift's on track to sell more than a million copies of her new album, Red, which came out Monday. According to industry website Hits Daily Double, the singer's fourth studio album sold 262,000 copies in its first day of release.

If Red passes the million mark, Swift would be the first act in a decade to release back-to-back studio albums that sold more than a million copies in their debut week. Speak Now sold 1.047 million copies during its initial week in 2010.

Target, which is offering a special edition of Red featuring a bonus disc with six additional tracks, reported the highest single-day sales for any title in the retailer's history, according to Hits Daily Double.

At one point on Monday, tracks from Red accounted for 13 of iTunes' top 20 tracks. Swift still had half the top 20 on iTunes' Top Songs chart as of Tuesday afternoon, led by 22 and Everything Has Changed, a duet with British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran. Swift already has sold 4.5 million individual tracks from the album.

Should Swift pass a million, she'll have her eyes set on Lady Gaga's Born This Way, which sold 1.11 million first-week copies last year, aided by an Amazon sales price of 99 cents.

Sales of Taylor Swift's 'Red' off to a flying start

Taylor Swift may never, ever be getting back together with a certain beau, but she seems strongly positioned to getting back above the 1 million first-week sales mark with her new album. According to her label, Big Machine Records, "Red" bolted out of the starting gate with 262,000 copies sold the first day on iTunes alone.

Big Machine noted that the record went to No. 1 on iTunes' all-genre Top Albums chart just 36 minutes after it was released at 12:01 a.m. Monday. The label also said “Red” was responsible for more than 4½ million individual iTunes song downloads to date in the U.S. Swift's song “Everything Has Changed” also shot to No. 1 on iTunes' Top Songs chart, one of 13 tracks from the album to reach the chart’s Top 20.

Swift’s fourth studio collection also tops Amazon.com’s list of bestselling albums, having spent 61 days in the Top 100, based on pre-release orders. Amazon is selling “Red” for $9.99, compared to $14.99 for the iTunes album download. Target.com also has the regular edition of “Red” priced at $9.99, while a deluxe edition with six exclusive bonus tracks (available only in Target stores) is selling for $14.99.

Music industry veterans will be watching to see whether “Red” will top first-week sales of her 2010 album “Speak Now,” which sold 1,047,000 copies during its first week, making it the fastest selling album since rapper 50 Cent’s “The Massacre” notched 1.14 million copies more than five years earlier.

Only two other albums have tallied more than a million first-week sales since 50 Cent: Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter III,” which sold 1,006,000 in 2008, and Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way,” with 1,108,000 last year. Because Amazon discounted the full “Born This Way” album to 99 cents for two days, many argued that its first-week results deserved an asterisk because the slashed price generated additional sales of more than 400,000 copies.

Billboard subsequently changed its sales-reporting policy to exclude albums sold for less than $3.49 during the first four weeks of release.

Swift's media blitz for "Red" continues this week. She gave a concert in New York's Times Square on Tuesday on ABC-TV’s “Good Morning America” that was reported as the largest in the show’s history. She’ll also be a guest Tuesday night on CBS’ “Late Night With David Letterman," followed by a live appearance on “The View” on Wednesday. Friday marks another busy day as Swift will perform on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” join Katie Couric on “Katie” and be featured in a special edition of “20/20” looking at Nashville, which Couric will also host.

The TV deluge will continue when she shows up Oct. 30 to perform on “Dancing With the Stars,” followed by an appearance at “The 41st Annual CMA Awards” show on Nov. 1.

“Red” also gives Swift the title of the fastest accumulation of 50 hits on the Billboard Top 100. She did it in less than half the time of the previous record holder, Aretha Franklin, who totaled 50 Hot 100 hits in 14 years and six months. Swift has now reached that mark six years and one month since the release of her 2006 debut album, “Taylor Swift.”

Girl Crush? Emma Roberts Says 'I'm Obsessed With Jennifer Aniston'

Emma Roberts's auntie may be a Hollywood icon but she's still impressed when she meets older actresses.

Julia Robert's niece recently admitted that she is 'obsessed' with co-star Jennifer Aniston and was nervous to meet the actress. You'd think that once you're acquainted with Julia Roberts, you'd be poised enough to be relaxed in the presence of any Hollywood star.

Well apparently it's not the case for Emma Roberts who recently admitted she has an obsession with Jennifer Aniston.

Talking to Life & Style magazine the young actress said: “I'm obsessed with her!" "When I met her, I was just more obsessed with her."

The 21-year-old actress recently talked about her first meeting with Jennifer Aniston, her co-star in new film We're The Millers, and revealed she was mortified with apprehension.

“I remember when I first met [Jen], I was so nervous because I realised I was wearing her perfume. I was like, 'She's going to smell it on me and think I'm a stalker!’”

Fortunately the 43-year-old actress had an opposite reaction: “She was like, 'Oh my God, you're the cutest person ever!' I was mortified!” Emma confessed.

Before the release of her new film We're The Millers, Emma Roberts is keeping herself busy with the promotion of the 'Emma' sunglasses designed by Nanette Lepore.

Selena Gomez plays with PAC amid ‘Believe’ tour

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber had a day together Saturday in Minneapolis, and Justin’s new hamster, PAC, was the hit of the afternoon. The two singers are barely able to meet and greet each other on the fly, these days, because the many-months-long “Believe” tour is keeping Justin Bieber out of Los Angeles, where Selena is working on a new album. Hollywood Life reports the story.

It was a short, flying trip to Minnesota. Selena was spotted early in the morning leaving LAX, and then there were Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber sightings in Minneapolis a few hours later. But no sighting was as cute as Selena cuddling PAC the hamster in her hands. The “Hotel Transylvania” star wore fuzzy animal print pants with boots and a black top and toque. She bonded beautifully with her man’s new, furry friend.

Justin did the introductions, to Selena and his millions of fans, via Twitter: “This is PAC the hamster my new believe tour pet I will bring him to every meet n greet.” But the meet with Selena is the most important, of course. No word so far, on exactly where Justin got the tiny pal, but likely he will show up again.

Apparently Selena flew right back, because no Selena-sightings have been reported in Milwaukee. Nor did PAC show up as Justin greeted a small, cancer-victim fan there. But likely he was warned to keep animals away.

Justin Bieber Pining For Selena Gomez On Tour?!

It must be a difficult feat, being away from Selena Gomez's cherub cheeks and sexy pout! Justin Bieber is currently traveling the world on his Believe tour, and recently tweeted a picture (above) of himself staring off into the distance along with a thoughtful, mysterious message we HOPE is about his sweet Selenita. Da Biebs posted:

And what other lady could Justin be talking about, if the tweet is NOT about his adorable ladylove?! It must get so lonely on tour, with hundreds of people constantly around, fussing over you, while millions of fans scream your name outside… no wonder Biebs is missing his Spring Breakers bad girl!

'Breaking Dawn Part 2' Followed by 'Twilight' Reboot in June?

Sources say Breaking Dawn Part 2 could be followed by a new Twilight reboot as early as June of 2013. That's just seven months after the "final" Twilight films hits theaters.

According to a report from the International Business Times, even though the reboot (it's uncertain if it will be a TV series, made-for-TV movie or another film on the big screen) won't likely include Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, it will no doubt feature the same setting--that of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen.

There's some speculation that the reboot could be based upon Taylor Lautner's character Jacob Black. And if that's the case, Twihards will eagerly anticipate the next chapter in the saga. However some of the other purported storylines are questionable.

Author Stephenie Meyer's say in the whole reboot option is vital, since she created these characters and understands not only their background but their chances of withstanding a major storyline.

Robert Pattinson photos on 'Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2' promo tour in Sydney

Only a day after new photos of Robert Pattinson emerged as he was leaving the U.S. for the worldwide “Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2” promo tour, the Edward Cullen actor was seen this Monday, October 22, for the premiere of the last “Twilight” movie in Sydney, Australia.

The talented star seemed happy to take some candid photos with fans as he walked the red carpet, offering some funny faces for the many cameras outside the Fox Studios film theater, wearing a handsome dark suit (quite unlike the incognito get-up in the airport this week).
Robert Pattinson had this to say about the premiere of “Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2” and the end of the blockbuster vampire saga:

“This last film was hard. I mean, we were shooting this big action sequence for about two and a half months in a massive warehouse where they normally sell cows, with a bunch of fake paper snow and green walls, and you literally started to go insane after a while! Yeah, it gets tough doing stuff like that … it gets a little repetitive.” R-Patz also laughed as he recalled how well his recently back together girlfriend Kristen Stewart completely fit into her new vampire role as Bella Cullen.

“Yeah, [Kristen] was really excited about becoming a vampire. Everyone else who’d been pretty consistently in the films had obviously been playing vampires for ages. And so it was funny seeing someone that was human so suddenly come into the role and try and figure out the version of the physicality and mentality of it so well.”

Pattinson was also seen in some new photos on a Sydney beach for an exclusive photo call prior to the red carpet premiere. No doubt fellow fans will be excited for both Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart (currently in Japan for the promo cast tour) to return this November for the premiere of “Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2” in the U.S.

Robert Pattinson: Kristen Stewart Was 'Excited' To Transform Into A Vampire

Robert Pattinson is currently promoting the new "Twilight" film in Australia, and he reportedly told journalists that his off-again/on-again girlfriend Kristen Stewart was "really excited" to play a vampire on the big screen. In the film, and the books by Stefanie Meyer, Bell (Stewart) yearns to be changed into a vampire so she can spend the rest of her days with lover Edward (Pattinson). It finally happens in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2."

Pattinson revealed to MTV Australia, "She was really excited about being a vampire. Everybody else who'd been pretty consistently in the movies, they'd obviously been playing a vampire like every day for ages. And so it's funny seeing someone suddenly come into it and try and figure out their own version of the physicality and the mentality of it."

He added, "But her character has a different thing, because she's supposed to find it really easy. It's supposed to be a natural progression for her to become a vampire, it's supposed to be simple. So I guess it was kind of different."

The actor has had several moments that stick out in his mind from the making the movies over the past several years. "There's been a few. I mean, going to Brazil on this one was pretty fun, it was pretty crazy. I crashed a speedboat which was pretty exciting! Yeah tons. Tons from the first movie, it was just so different being the first one. I mean we used to travel to set, the entire cast, in a minibus," he explained. "It was so entirely the opposite of what the last one ended up being - like being in helicopters and stuff."

At the end of the month, the couple will be at the same press junket in Los Angeles, as well as the premiere on November 12 in LA. A European tour in England, Spain, and Germany will also feature the two together. The film hits theaters Nov. 16

’50 Shades of Grey’ movie: Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev to star together?

“50 Shades of Grey” fans are dying to know who will be cast as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in the movie adaptation of the racy book series. Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev’s names have been mentioned for months, but would the real-life couple star in the film together? According to an Oct. 21 report by Hollywood News Daily, it’s a possibility.

Ian and Nina have both expressed interest in the “50 Shades of Grey” movie. However, it’s Somerhalder who’s been a favorite among all those rumored to be up for the film. Meanwhile, Dobrev recently admitted that if the director and script are right for her, she’d be interested.

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are already co-stars on the wildly popular CW television series, “Vampire Diaries,” which is a television adaptation of another famous book series. So, is “50 Shades of Grey” next for this real-life couple?

While both Ian and Nina may be up for the challenged, it isn’t likely that execs would cast the couple together, not only because they already co-star together on the popular “Vampire Diaries,” but because they are a real couple. Fans may have trouble seeing them as anything but themselves, or their television alter egos.

However, either Ian Somerhalder or Nina Dobrev’s chances of being cast solo are good. Both would make great additions to the “50 Shades of Grey” movie, and are fan favorites. Which actors would you like to see in the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele?

Gossip Girl cast celebrate end of hit show with a food fight

Leighton Meester, Chace Crawford and their Gossip Girl co-stars celebrated the end of the hit show with a food fight.

The pair, who co-star with Blake Lively and Ed Westwick in the US teen drama, recently wrapped production on the show’s sixth and final season.

But the cast didn’t appear sad about saying goodbye at a recent wrap party. Blake and Chace logged onto Instagram and Twitter to post snaps of the event.

A shot on Chace’s Twitter shows him cutting a cake. But not long after most of the cast appears to be wearing the dessert. One shot shows the actor with icing smeared on the side of his face.

Meanwhile Leighton poses with co-star Penn Badgley, both covered in sticky sweets. “Who wants to eat some cake?” Chace joked on his page. Gossip Girl is coming to an end after five years on the air. Leighton earlier opened up about leaving the show.

But the actress, who depicts spoiled Blair Waldorf, admitted she wasn’t sad to be moving on. “I'm glad. The closer it gets, the more happy I get," she told NextMovie, adding, “I want to do something different.”

Tonight on Gossip Girl: Will Blair's first fashion show end in scandal?

The final season of Gossip Girl is only 10 episodes long and we're already on episode 3! This means that instead of having several episodes with Blair (Leighton Meester) preparing for her first fashion show, it is happening this week. After last week's disaster with Blair's profile in WWD thanks to some terrible decisions by Blair, will the runway show fare any better? Spoilers ahead.

Gossip Girl is all about the big events and with Blair at the helm you know that she will be in a control freak mood. We don't often see Blair asking for help but tonight you will see Blair reaching out to Serena (Blake Lively). Blair would like Serena to be her face of Waldorf Designs, a role that Serena doesn't want to take and it is clear that she wants nothing to do with her former BFF.

What Serena does want is to impress Sage (Sofia Black-D'Elia) and this fashion show looks like it will be Serena's way in to Sage's good books. It's bad news for Serena though, as at the end of last week Sage revealed to her friends (or minions perhaps) that she wants Serena out of her father's life. Serena decides to help Blair with her request after Sage tells Serena how much she wants to be Blair's 'It Girl.' This is all one big manipulation and it looks like Sage has some scandalous plans. Are you interested in Sage and her plans to mess with Serena or do you want them to focus more on Serena and Blair? The fashion show will feature some famous faces including Alexa Chung, who will be playing herself.

There is scandal beyond Blair's show as Nate (Chace Crawford) publishes the first part of Dan's (Penn Badgley) serialized article. This causes a huge stir as Nate is going with Dan's wishes of publishing full names. It also produces a serious threat, who is in danger? One storyline that I'm finding hard to get excited about is Chuck's (Ed Westwick) investigation into his father's past. This will continue tonight as Chuck tries to find out who the other person is in the photo that Amira (Andrea Gabriel) left him. How are you finding this story?

Taylor Swift: 'I'm not confirmed to play Joni Mitchell yet'

Last month (September 2012), it was reported that Swift was on board to play the legendary singer in Girls Like Us, a film adaptation of Sheila Weller's book about Mitchell and her 1970s peers Carole King and Carly Simon.

At the time, the film had yet to receive the green-light from Sony Pictures - a situation Swift has now corroborated. She told Time: "That's actually not confirmed. I wish I could say it's confirmed! But the thing about movies that I've learned is, I've been reading scripts for five years, and you just don’t know what ones are going to get greenlit and which ones aren't, so I can't talk about it unless it's the real thing."

Swift, who releases her third album 'Red' today (October 22), has only dabbled with acting so far. She appeared in an episode of CSI in 2009 and had a small role in Valentine's Day, an ensemble rom-com released in 2010. Meanwhile, she has a voice part in The Lorax, an upcoming computer animated movie based on a Dr Seuss book.

When asked whether she intends to pursue acting further, Swift said: "I would love to sign on to do a movie if it was the right role and if it was the right script, because I would be taking time away from music to tell a big grand story, and spend all of my time and pouring all of my emotions into being someone else. So for me to do that, it would have to be a story worth telling."

Taylor Swift on New Album ‘Red’ and Life in the Spotlight

Music superstar Taylor Swift, whose newest album, “Red,” has already shot to No. 1 on iTunes since its midnight release, said writing the album challenged her like nothing had before. “I tended to really explore the edges of what I’m allowed to do,” Swift said today on “Good Morning America.” “Pushing myself and taking myself out of my comfort zone, which is writing alone and going and working with my heroes, songwriters that have influenced me my whole career.

It really, really kind of challenged me in the best way possible.” Swift, who writes or co-writes all her songs, said she is writing non-stop and that the adventurous album takes her music to places she never thought her “music would ever go.” “I’m writing all the time. I wrote a new [song] two days ago. … I just grab a guitar and make stuff up,” Swift said of her creative process. “When I started writing songs when I was 12, I would run to my room and write songs about a difficult day at school or something like that. It’s kind of carried me my whole life and allowed me to filter through really complicated emotions and make them simple.”

“Red” features the single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” which has become a smash hit worldwide and prompted much speculation about the ex who inspired the catchy breakup ballad. Swift does not name names, but said she draws motivation for her songs from real-life. “For me, music is my way of understanding what I’m feeling,”

Swift said. “I don’t really talk about my love life. I kind of sing about it a lot because I really think that it sounds more poetic and romantic about it with music behind it. “My fans know that I’m going to give them the real version of what happened to me in my music and they know that what they read about blogs and gossip sites may or may not be true. They can kind of tell if it’s true or not because they know me.” Watch Taylor Swift perform LIVE on “Good Morning America” Tuesday at 7 a.m. ET. Swift has forged an accelerated route to fame, reaching many career milestones by age 22.

“Red” marks her fourth No. 1 album in a row. Her previous album, 2010′s “Speak Now,” won her two Grammys and sold more than 1 million copies in its first week. The singer-songwriter already has six Grammys to her name, has graced the cover of countless magazines, amassed a diehard fan base that “blows her away” and a huge following of almost 20 million Twitter followers and nearly 35 million on Facebook.

Living her life in such a bright spotlight, with paparazzi watching her every step and misstep, is something Swift said she’s come to accept. “There is a pressure to not make a mistake,” she said. “I’m at an age where I’m supposed to be learning lessons, and I have to really kind of minimize the mistakes that I make because it’s important. I have these people that I count on me. That’s part of it that I’ve come to terms with.”

As Swift has learned to deal with the spotlight, her parents has also adjusted to her success. “My dad goes around with all of these guitar picks from my tour in his pocket and hands them to strangers and he makes friends anywhere he goes and loves it. He’s the friendliest guy in the world,” she gushed. “My mom is really sweet because she has really great taste and really logical opinions, and so I ask her for advice about everything. We are really close.” Swift also opened up to George Stephanopoulos in the “GMA” interview about her first celebrity crush (Taylor Hanson), favorite comfort food (Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal or Pop Tarts), and her hidden talents (antique shopping).

The reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, will perform next week at the Country Music Awards, where she is nominated again this year. Also on the list for Swift in the next year will be a tour for the album, which she said she has high hopes for. “I would love to have this album be something that really I’m proud of and put together the tour and have it be a show that’s worth people paying their money and spending the evening with us to see it,” she said. “I want to make this show better than anything we’ve done before.”

Kimi no kachi manga review

English: You Win
Synonyms: You Win, You Have Won, His Back, His Heart, Spring Fever, Constellation in July, My Beautiful Boy

Type: Manga
Volumes: 1
Chapters: 5
Status: Finished
Published: 2000
Genres: Romance, School, Shoujo
Authors: Obata, Yuuki (Story & Art)
Serialization: Shogakukan Books

Shorts like this aren’t really my thing, I read it only because of the author. Bokura ga ita is the anime that got me started on manga and I haven’t stopped reading ever since. When I started reading this manga and these short stories..I felt proud to be a fan of the author Yuki obata. She exatcly puts how a girl feels in her first love or crush. Thats where she is at her best and I just love that. If you are a fan of Bokura ga ita and want to see a little of Yano and nana gain, you must really read this. Even if you are not a fan, you will still like it.

1. You Win
I hate him--Ayu's classmate, Kataoka, is popular among girls. But Ayu doesn't like him that much, because she thinks that he isn't a nice person. But...!? Depicting the feelings every girl should feel when in love, vividly and sensitively, it's the best school love story.

2. His Back, His Heart
Nariko is in love with a popular boy from her school. However, she can only watch him from behind as he is not in her class and has no idea who she is. By watching his back from afar, can she truly win his heart?

3. Spring Fever
Marina and her friend go to an all girls school and take the same bus home everyday. This same bus passes by Kita High, where a few boys always get on. Marina has slowly fallen in love with one of the boys -- can she work up the courage to speak with him?

4. Constellation in July
Niro and Chise have been childhood friends since Niro planted the willow branch in their backyard, and a willow tree grew from it. But does he share the same feelings of love as Chise?

5. My Beautiful Boy
Madoka falls in love at first sight with a boy during the entrance exams. On the first day of school she sees him again, and confesses. However, the boy she saw before has a twin? And it was the twin that she confessed to?!

All of the stories are cute and work well individually. Each one is about a high school romance that turns into a first love. The stories were ok. Nothing amazing, not boring, but ti will leave you with a very nice and warm aftertaste.
Her characters are a bit cookie cutter, the male/female leads all follow the same general pattern, just like Yano and nana from Bokura ga ita. But you will come to like each one of them.

Overall it’s cute, short, entertaining. Would I recommend it? For sure!!!!

Switch girl Manga review

Type: Manga
Volumes: Unknown
Chapters: Unknown
Status: Publishing
Published: 2007 to ?
Genres: Comedy, Romance, School, Shoujo
Authors: Aida, Natsumi (Story & Art)
Serialization: Margaret

At first it was its title that caught my eye cause it was so weird and I was wondering what the deal was and gave it a try.I read a few chapters at first and liked it. This manga has a unique concept. There is even a Japanese live action drama on this manga. Switch girl manga introduces a character named Tamiya Nika. A switch girl is someone who assumes two roles in her everyday life but this is not the same as Multiple Personality Disorder. Tamiya Nika knows full well what she is doing.

At school, she is the most beautiful girl and is admired by many. She puts up great effort in order to look well everyday. This is known as her 'switch on' mode. She does her best to look as graceful and pretty as much as possible, afraid that other people would find out her true self.
When she gets home, she returns to being her true self by 'switching off'. She truly is a tomboyish and funny girl. Her hobbies include shopping for great bargains with her family at the stores. Her eyes can automatically calculate prices of goods and gauge their quality. She likes eating smelly fish for lunch, wears a track suit and some geeky glasses then ties her hair up into three buns that points to different directions.

This is Kamiya Arata, Nika's love interest. A cool and laid back boy who likes his solitude. However, when he met Nika and discovered her secret that she was actually wasn't the pretty and elegant girl she wants everyone to believe, things has changed considerably for him.

He has his own secrets too. One of them was the fact that he hides his good looks with a pair of geeky sunglasses. His switch on is the complete opposite of Nika's. While Nika does her best to look very good to her classmates, Arata hated attention(particularly from females) and prefers being in the background. Another dire secret he keeps is about his broken family. It seems he was mentally scared by his mother abandoning him and his father in order to marry another man.

To sum that all up, he's an emo and an attractive one. He might as well hang out with Sasuke.

Nika might be slightly(okay, I mean a lot!) strange when she is in her switch off mode, but there is no doubt that she is just as kind and compassionate. She has the tendency to believe in strangers, she's a bit naive but she makes up for it by being strong and helpful to even those who had oppressed her. She isn't the smartest either when it comes to academics. She has failed a lot of tests, but thankfully, Arata(super smart guy) was able to help her.

She has intense feelings for Arata, more intense than she ever would have expected. Arata wasn't that much of a heartthrob, since he is quite secretive and sensitive when his life is being probed. Which is why Nika had a hard time trying to understand him and win his heart.

As in most shoujo-s,the ones who get character development are the two main characters involved in the romance. The get a backstory, which comes as you read the manga. We have the happy go lucky heroine who is mostly helpful and kind-hearted to anyone and the suffering hero who at first acts as an @sshole to protect himself.I'd like some originality here too,or some more depth and not the over-played stereotypes?Tamiya had potential too as a switch girl, cause she's a lot more interesting in her off mode, but it's a pity that we don't see her that way a lot more often.
The rest of the cast are friends and classmates and the antagonists of course. Some of the characters also don't appear ever again or very very rarely and don't get much development either. Also their actions and behaviors are pretty much flat and hold no personality of their own, they are only there to support the characters and give them more spotlight, compliment them.

Coming to the art, It has all the characteristics of Shoujo style.Big eyes, nice hair, bishounen, the skinny/slim body.Nothing out of the ordinary or too beautiful,it looks like many and I think the eyes are too big for my liking. Not much to say here,I just find it very common and nothing too amazing, just practical to get the message across.

Switch girl is an entertaining manga. Perfect for people who are into love comedy themed stories. Things get serious in the later parts though. Switch girl is an entertaining manga.
I do enjoy reading this from time to time(as it is still on-going) cause I like its humour and some of its jokes, which you rarely see in shoujos often. It has a different approach to certain things which I like.
It is lighthearted therefore not difficult to relax and just enjoy. One of the kind that you like to read with your best friend.
